Korean Class Full, Enrollment Closed

Debido a tanta demanda, la clase pública del coreano está completamente llena, y las inscripciones están cerradas. Gracias por todo el interés, y esperamos que todos puedan entrar el próximo año. Due to lots of demand, the public class of Korean is completely full, and enrollment is closed. Thank you for all the interest, and we hope that everyone is able to join the class next year.

The Languages Week, led by the Language Centers of the UPNFM, includes movies, country stands, and a food fair.

Two former UPNFM students and graduates of the Languages Center, Emil Floricia Vasquez Reyes and Jeimy Paola Cabrera Meraz, have been accepted to begin a Master´s of Scientific Investigation in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture at the prestigious Universidad Zamorano. Additionally, they both received full scholarships for this program, funded by the Nippon Foundation. To be accepted into this program, both Emil Floricia and Jeimy Paolo had to go through a rigorous application process. They competed against other national and international applicants, filling out an online application, writing personal documents, completing an admission test that included eight different parts, and going through a final interview. They believe that the Languages Center at the UPNFM helped open the doors to this program for both of them. Being a student at the Languages Center helped them grow in their academic reading and writing, which helped immensely in this application process. Specifically, there were told by the interviewer that their essays were structured very well, something they learned to do at the Languages Center.

The president of the UPNFM Hermes Díaz and the Ambassador of Taiwan Ingrid Hsing signed a letter that certifies the UPNFM as the first accredited Honduran institution to apply the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL). El Rector de la UPNFM Hermes Díaz y la Embajadora de Taiwán Ingrid Hsing suscribieron una carta de entendimiento que certifica a la UPNFM como la primera institución hondureña acreditada para aplicar el Test of Chinese as Foreign Language (TOCFL), “Examen de Chino Mandarín como Lengua Extranjera”.

Languages Center Begins New Period of Classes

The Languages Center started a new period of classes with classes beginning on Thursday, May 24. This session includes nine different languages, included a class of Japonese I (see picture), taught by Professor Ana Belinda Aguilar. El Centro de Idiomas empezó con un nuevo periodo de clases empezando el 24 de Mayo. Esta sesión incluye nueve idiomas diferentes, inluyendo una clases de Japonés 1 (vea la foto), a cargo de Ana Belinda Aguilar.

Food Fair activity carried out by professor Leticia Flores and Basic English students from UPNFM's English Program that this period have been assigned to the Language Center. What should be a tasting ended up being a banquet! Actividad de Feria Alimentaria llevada a cabo por la profesora Leticia Flores y los estudiantes de Inglés Básico de la carrera de Enseñanza del Inglés que este periodo han sido asignados al Centro de Idiomas. ¡Lo que debía ser una degustación terminó siendo un banquete!

The director of the UPNFM Hermes Díaz officially welcomed volunteer teacher Donghyeon Lee, who will be here for two years in this institution's Languages Center teaching Korean. Professor Donghyeon Lee is a volunteer of the organization (KOICA) Friends of the World, which sends experts from different fields of study to different parts of the world. The UPNFM thanks the KOICA organization for this special partnership with the institution since Professor Lee is the only volunteer assigned in the capital city.

The Languages Center opened its doors to the UPNFM community in February, 2015; having has its main objective the promotion of the internationalization of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM). The Languages Center is a part of a strategic plan that complenents the actions that come from the Institution of Cooperation and Development (INCODE) of the UPNFM. El Centro de Idiomas abre sus puertas a la comunidad de la UPNFM en febrero de 2015; teniendo como objetivo primordial la promoción de la internacionalización de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM). El Centro de Idiomas es parte de la estrategia complementaria a las acciones que viene impulsando el Instituto de Cooperación y Desarrollo (INCODE) de la UPNFM.
