Student Spotlight: Lazaro Yanez

The Languages Center has decided to begin featuring "Student Spotlights" - highlighting different students of the Languages Center. Our first Student Spotlight is Lázaro Yanez, captain of the UPNFM Lobos Soccer Team. He has played with the Lobos since the formation of the team eight years ago. Additionally, Lázaro is the singer of the Lobos official team song. Apart from soccer, he is in his final year of studying to earn his Master`s Degree in Physical Education. In addition to his various accomplishments, Lázaro is a student of the English Program at the Languages Center. Keep up the good work! // El Centro de Idiomas ha decidido comenzar con los "Student Spotlights" - para presentar diferentes estudiantes del Centro de Idiomas. Nuestro primero Student Spotlight es Lázaro Yanez, capitán del equipo de fútbol de los Lobos UPNFM. El ha jugado con los Lobos desde la formación del equipo hace ocho años. Además, Lázaro es el cantante de la canción oficial del equipo. El esta en su ultimo año de estuidos para obtener su Maestria en la Educación Física. Además de sus diversos logros, Lázaro es estudiante del Programa de Inglés en el Centro de Idiomas. ¡Gracias por su trabajo!

Languages Center Celebrates Christmas with Celebration

The Languages Center celebrated Christmas on Tuesday, November 27 with a celebration! Every class sang a Christmas song in the language that they are learning, and we were able to hear music sung in Korean, Japanese, English, German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, and French.

Japanese Students Participate in National Oratory Contest

Three students from the Languages Center participated in the thirteenth National Oratory Contest of Japanese. Argelia Idiaquez came in second place in the A category, and Betsabé Rodríguez and Edman Godoy also participated. This was the third consecutive year that UPN students partook in this competition, and the event was judged by Japanese nationals. Congratulations to the students!

Graduate from Languages Center Receives High Honor

San Pedro Languages Center Has Introduction to Trimester

Japanese Embassy Visits Class

The Japanese embassy visited the Japanese class last Tuesday, helping to teach how to write Shodoo, or Japenese calligraphy. The class thoroughly enjoyed the visit, and thank Mrs. Shoko Asuma, the cultural affairs officer, for her visit!

The Languages Center opened its doors to the UPNFM community in February, 2015; having has its main objective the promotion of the internationalization of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM). The Languages Center is a part of a strategic plan that complenents the actions that come from the Institution of Cooperation and Development (INCODE) of the UPNFM. El Centro de Idiomas abre sus puertas a la comunidad de la UPNFM en febrero de 2015; teniendo como objetivo primordial la promoción de la internacionalización de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM). El Centro de Idiomas es parte de la estrategia complementaria a las acciones que viene impulsando el Instituto de Cooperación y Desarrollo (INCODE) de la UPNFM.
