Today's Student Spotlight is Offir Romero!
Offir has been a student of the Languages Center for many years now. He has completed all 5 levels of English courses and is now in is his third level of German classes. Offir studied abroad at Uppsala University in Sweden after finishing his third level of English. He was also the recipient of Ruben Dario Academic Excellence Award in 2018. Offir recently gave our English 3 students a motivational talk about taking advantage of opportunities you have now, rather than waiting to complete all 5 levels of English before applying to scholarships.

¡Nuestro Student Spotlight de hoy es Offir Romero!
Offir ha sido un estudiante del Centro de Idiomas por muchos años. El ha completado los 5 niveles de los cursos de inglés y ahora está en su tercer nivel de clases de alemán. Offir estudió en la Universidad de Uppsala en Suecia después de terminando su tercer nivel de inglés. También, el recibió el Premio Regional Rubén Dario a la excelencia académica en 2018. Recientemente, Offir habló con nuestros estudiantes de inglés nivel 3 sobre aprovechando las oportunidades que tienen ahora. Les dijó que no tienen que esperar a completar sus 5 niveles de ingles antes de solicitar becas.

Our next Student Spotlight is on our class of FIFA Referees!
UPNFM has formed an agreement with the National Referee Board to give English classes at the Languages Center to twelve referees.

Our next Student Spotlight is Kathy Munguia.
Kathy is a student of the Art Department that takes English courses through the Languages Center. Kathy was recently invited to represent Honduras in an art event in El Salvador.

The Languages Center began their classes for the 1st Period of 2019 on Monday, February 4, 2019. Languages being offered this period include English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Spanish as a foreign language. The Languages Center has over 200 students this semester. Both students and teachers were eager to commence classes this period. We know it will be another great year of learning!

The Languages Center opened its doors to the UPNFM community in February, 2015; having has its main objective the promotion of the internationalization of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM). The Languages Center is a part of a strategic plan that complenents the actions that come from the Institution of Cooperation and Development (INCODE) of the UPNFM. El Centro de Idiomas abre sus puertas a la comunidad de la UPNFM en febrero de 2015; teniendo como objetivo primordial la promoción de la internacionalización de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM). El Centro de Idiomas es parte de la estrategia complementaria a las acciones que viene impulsando el Instituto de Cooperación y Desarrollo (INCODE) de la UPNFM.
