Membership in the INLCP
Requirements
To participate in the INLCP the language centers and university programs should meet the following requirements:
- To be established and recognized by a local, regional or international organization as a language center (e.g. networks, universities, embassies, binational/cultural centers or language center associations).
- To have a minimum of a year working as a language center.
- To nominate a candidate who has knowledge of the English language to represent the local center before the network.
- To be willing to participate in academic mutual collaborations with UPNFM and other centers in the Network.
- To participate in the webinar as participants and/or presenters.
- To participate in the International Language Centers Conference in November 2017.
- To have available a member to participate of the Executive Board.
Leadership
By the end of 2018, an Executive Board will be elected so they can provide ideas on how to improve the activities of the network. The Executive Board members will be the coordinators/directors of the language centers and will serve as a consultant body related to academic exchanges, research projects, regional grant proposals as well as to the constant development of the faculty members of the language centers.
Responsibilities
Being a member INLCP comes with a number of responsibilites:
- To provide a specialist to help with leading webinars.
- To assure faculty attendance to the webinars.
- To be punctual to the webinars.
- To provide feedback for the webinars and other trainings.
- To provide links, articles or any other information to help improve language centers.
- To be available to participate in research projects about language teaching or language centers. Research projects will have to be published and shared with other language center members of the Network.
- To be willing to participate in the first International Conference for Language Center to be held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in November 2018.
Cosponsers
To assist with the development of these activities in Honduras and to contact specialists in the teaching field, the Embassy of the United States of America in Tegucigalpa will be the official cosponsor of the network. It is expected that for events held in locations other than Honduras, the local centers will find their own cosponsors.
Other cosponsors will be people, organizations, and institutions that support the activities of the Network financially or with other types of resources.
The participation as a member of the network does not require a membership fee but rather the active participation of the members.
